Founded in Luxembourg to unite, represent and elevate the family office profession, and to carry its standard across the continent.

Mission & values

Why we exist

Luxembourg For Family Office is a non-profit association (a.s.b.l.) created to serve family office practitioners and the professions around them. We give the profession a shared voice, a recognised standard and a place to meet.

Our purpose is expressed in five commitments:

  • Promote and develop family office activity in Luxembourg, and build relationships beyond it.
  • Facilitate exchange among professionals and the adjacent professions that support them.
  • Maintain trusted relationships with the CSSF, the IRE, the Order of Chartered Accountants and the Bar.
  • Recognise expertise and guarantee the independence that defines credible advice, structuring the profession around a best-practice standard.
  • Organise seminars and conferences, publish information, and build training with universities and schools.

Our story

How the association took root

A journey from a shared conviction to a European voice for the profession.

A shared conviction

A group of practitioners recognised the need for a body that would give the family office profession a common standard and voice in Luxembourg.

The association founded

Luxembourg For Family Office was established as a non-profit association (a.s.b.l.), setting out its five founding commitments.

Building institutional trust

LFFO opened dialogue with the CSSF, the IRE, the Order of Chartered Accountants and the Bar, anchoring the association in the profession’s institutions.

Growing across Europe

From its Luxembourg headquarters, the association extended its reach across fourteen European markets, connecting professionals beyond borders.

Our President

Diana Diels

President · Luxembourg For Family Office

Diana Diels is a founding partner of the Luxembourg Association of Family Offices and President of Luxembourg For Family Office. She is a senior executive in the financial sector, specialising in family businesses, wealth management, family offices, external asset management and compliance standards.

She studied economics and holds an MBA in finance. Accredited by the CSSF as an asset manager early in her career, she went on to serve as a board member of the Asset Managers Association.

She has worked for banks and managed family businesses across the ICT, BPO and data centre sectors. With Wealth@Work she founded an independent family office platform, voted best start-up in the private financial cloud sector.

Her expertise spans financial engineering and SOPARFIS management, and she has served for over thirty years as an independent board member on the boards of companies in the financial sector and unlisted businesses.

The strength of a family office lies in trust, independence and the quality of the people around the table.
